Task 4: Sample Layout Using Table for Website

Download: Layout 1
Download: Layout 2
Download: Layout 3

Dear all kiddos-kiddos,

For whom still clueless how to start your Task 4, you may use the above layout. But make sure, your webpage layout is same as your sketch.

For anyone who already start with Task 4, you may start to create, find, re-arrange your:
- contents ( text, description, caption)
- graphics (logo, create banner, resize images)
- videos

Please keep your graphics and videos in one folder.

Kiddos-kiddos,
This is my personal tips in developing website:

1. gathering all the images or videos that you're going to use. keep it in one folder.

2. create banner using the images that you gathered. (either it still images or animated banner)
let say, you're going to create animation banner, so you can use Ulead GIF.
if you're going to edit/create still images banner, you may use Adobe Photoshop.
if you like to keep your banner simple, you can use Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

3. once you're done with the graphics editing and resizing, you may construct HTML for index.html
the layout is according to your sketch. this may take you 2-3 days to complete, or until you  satisfied with the layout.

4. after you done with the first page, (index.html) - then, you may head off to your bed. no more sleepless night.

5. proceed with  the following page; 2 until 7 (cequipment.html, ccooking.html, cfood.html, ukcampsites.html, externallinks.html, and newsletter.html). just use the layout of first page (index.html), for the rest of pages. what you have to do is, just change the arrangement of your contents and insert the images.

6. you  may find many sample form of newsletter on internet. try it.
coding is horror, but the best way to learn is to experience it- try and error. if you never try, you never know.
we not always getting things right all the time, most of us learn from our mistakes. don't give up.
discover more.

7. good luck kiddos

to help you in HTML coding - Task 4

Tips: Some questions before you begin to build your website.

This is just a small sampling questions you should ask yourself before  you begin to build your website.

Strategy
Why are u creating this website?
What do you expect to accomplish?
What are you offering your audience?
What do you want users to do on your website after they've left?
What brings your visitor back?

General Site Description
What kind of site is it? (E-commerce? personal? info-gathering? entertainment?)
What features will it have?
What are your most important messages?

Target Audience
Who is your primary audience?
Can you make assumptions about an average user's connection speed? Platform? Monitor size? Browser use?
How often do you expect them to visit your site? How long will they stay during an average visit?

Content
How often will the information be updated (daily, weekly, monthly?)

Resources
Do you have a server for your site?
Have you registered a domain name for your site?

Graphic Look and Feel
Do you have existing standards, such as logos and colors, that must be incorporated?
What are some other websites you like?
What do you like about them?
What sites do you not like?
