Good website design is important for businesses. This module aims to provide you guys with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop a high quality website.

Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to demonstrate a satisfactory performance in the following areas:
  • The Internet and it works, URLs, web page basics, tags, Internet services, web browsers.
  • Web Design Principles, browsers platforms,standards, monitor resolution, connection speed and methods, fonts, audiences.
  • Planning a website, organizing content and information. Graphic design principles. Understand the HTML development process, including testing.
  • Creating a web page using HTML, Tags, and their syntax. Document structure, page titles, etc. Saving and viewing HTML. Formating text, and adding simple graphics. Using simple links.
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in outline and principle
  • Graphics and their use in websites
  • The use of links to other pages in the same site and to other sites. The use of image maps and other uses of links.
  • Tables and frames in websites. Table and frame based HTML.
  • Forms. Using forms to collect data through a website.
  • Formats used for graphic, photographic and animated multimedia resources.
  • Formats used audio and video multimedia resources.
  • Planning, developing and delivering multimedia material.


I'll be expecting you guys to come ON TIME to the class.
The attendance is COMPULSORY.
You guys are required to participate in class.
Make sure you do the reading before coming to class.
Assignment/Tutorials given are expected to complete on time. NO late assignments will be accepted unless provided with valid reason.
Replacement for Tests and Quizzes is automatically given a 10% deduction on first replacement schedule and 20% deduction on second replacement schedule and third replacement is automatically zero.
Replacement class will be given if you can provide a valid reason why you missed the class.
Extra class will be conducted if necessary.
Failure to attend the scheduled FINAL EXAM is considered FAILED and no further replacement will be given in any reason whatsoever.
